I’ve been working with the residents to design images for t-shirts which express awareness of asylum seekers situation here in the UK. It was amazing to see how much creativity came from the guys and how engaged they were by the activity.
Drawing enabled them to open up about their feelings, and it was a great time for laughter too. A lot of interesting designs came from this time together and I learnt a bit about beautiful Arabic handwriting.
