BHN needs People to offer their skills to the network.
We currently have needs for welcome centre volunteers on Mondays including advocacy team members, ESOL Teachers, a kitchen manager, artists for our new art table, and general helpers. We also need trustees, people for our new team to develop social enterprise, networkers and fundraisers (with links in places of worship, other charities and businesses) and people who are good at D.I.Y to help our mens’ house maintenance.
The ‘network’ is much more than an organisation…
Our Bristol-based network is made up of hosts, volunteers, members (people being hosted), friends, former members, distant supporters…
There are many ways to get involved! We are looking for new volunteers and a self funded manager to join our dynamic social enterprise team. We are always looking for new hosts, and people with a little time to offer. You might come and get to know someone who is going through a hard time, or give a short talk to your community.
Get in touch via the contact page if you’d like to meet someone for a cup of tea (the way we meet potential new volunteers)!
We also feel it’s important to celebrate when there are joys to be acknowledged and enjoy some wonderful dinners and parties, often a melting pot of cultures are represented. Look out for upcoming events via Facebook.
You can also ‘like’ us on Facebook and spread the word to your friends and family about the need for people with spare rooms, skills or finances to offer to the network.
